Graffiti clean-up work has started in Bungay after Suffolk Police completed evidence gathering linked to recent incidents in the town.
Bungay Town Council said it had received concerns from residents and had been working with Suffolk Police, community groups and local people to respond to the issue.
Police investigations remain ongoing, but the council has now been given permission to begin removing the graffiti, with cleaning work already underway.
The council also said it will be exploring measures with partner organisations aimed at helping prevent similar incidents in the future.
In a message to residents, the council thanked people who had raised concerns and highlighted the work being carried out by staff helping restore affected areas.
