A hospitality business near Halesworth is appealing for information after thieves stole used cooking oil during the early hours of the morning.
The incident happened between 6.38am and 6.42am on Friday 30th Janaury, when offenders forced a gate and accessed the garden area of the Bramfield Queen's Head. The stolen cooking oil is believed to be taken for the illegal fuel production of 'red diesel'.
CCTV shows the offenders arriving in a dark-coloured Transit van, which was parked next to the phone box at the front of the car park. The business says there was a steady flow of traffic passing the area at the time and believes someone may have captured the vehicle on dashcam footage.
Owners say the theft has added further pressure to an already challenging time for hospitality businesses. They are now offering a reward for information that leads to an arrest.
The business has urged anyone who drove past the area during that time to check dashcam recordings for a clear image of the vehicle or its registration number, which could help identify those responsible.
