The body of a man has been found on the beach at Covehithe, near Kessingland.
Police were called shorty after 6.50am today, Tuesday 18 October, after a body was found on the beach at Covehithe.
The Coastguard and ambulance service were also in attendance.
It is believed that the deceased is a man in his 60s who had not returned after swimming in the sea in Southwold, yesterday, 17 October.
The death is being treated as unexplained at this time, but police do not currently believe there are any suspicious circumstances.
Next of kin have been informed and a file will be prepared for the coroner in due course.
