People throughout the town of Beccles are celebrating after finding out that their postcode sector of NR34 9 was the winner of the Postcode Millions.
A total of 655 people scooped a share of a £3.2 Million prize.
The lion's share of the money was won by ten people playing with the full winning postcode of NR34 9RS. Eight of the winners each received a cheque for £133,333, while the remaining two winners doubled their prizes to £266,666 thanks to playing with two tickets. The prize is part of a draw promoted on behalf of Postcode Children Trust (opens in a new tab) , which funds charities that inspire and support children and young people to make the most of their lives and opportunities within their communities. Organisations that benefit include Young Lives vs Cancer , Magic Breakfast , and Whizz-Kidz .
The Suffolk Befriending Scheme is a charity close to the winners that has benefited from money raised by players. Last year, it received £19,786 to help fund training for its befriending services for vulnerable and isolated people in Suffolk, especially those with learning disabilities, ill mental health and the elderly.
