Beccles parkrun has been temporarily paused due to unsafe ground conditions.
Organisers say prolonged wet weather has made sections of the riverside grass bank and the lower stony path dangerously slippery.
Several falls were reported at the most recent event, prompting the decision to halt the weekly 5k in order to protect participants, volunteers and the course itself.
The free, community-run event regularly attracts runners and walkers of all abilities to the riverside route in Beccles.
Event organisers say they will continue to monitor conditions closely and will provide updates once it is safe for the run to resume.
Participants are being encouraged to keep an eye on official parkrun channels for further information.
