24-hour music marathon

Hi, we are nineteen members of a Suffolk Choir (Pakefield Singers) who are very excited to have accepted an invitation from the Philharmonia Choir of Cape Town, South Africa, to sing Messiah with them in two historic and musically significant anniversary performances in Cape Town City Hall, at Easter 2027 ... but we need some help with travel and accommodation costs and invite you to support our 'Messiah/Mangaza (meaning joy or wonder) Fundraising Project with a modest donation. We'll also be undertaking various other fundraising activities, including a 24 hour Music Marathon and setting ourselves monthly music-related challenges.
This is a fabulous opportunity for us to perform on an international stage, a rare adventure for members of a choir that is based in North East Suffolk where there is a high level of social deprivation and unemployment, and minimal access to high quality choral music and other arts-based opportunities.
As an inclusive group, this project offers us the chance to take everyone who wants to be able to participate, regardless of means. Funds raised will be used to help pay for return flight tickets and hotel accommodation for some group members who would otherwise be unable to travel.
